We offer child and adult diagnostic autism and ADHD assessments. We see anyone aged from 2 upwards.
Within our multidisciplinary team, we have Dr Amin Band (Neurodevelopmental Consultant), Hannah Westwood-Loftus (occupational therapist), Amy Bignell (speech and language therapist), Kurt Westwood-Loftus (occupational therapist) and Dr Sara Doswett (CPC registered counselling psychologist).
Our multidisciplinary autism diagnostic assessments are designed to be respectful, supportive, and inclusive. We follow NICE guidelines to ensure assessments are evidence-based and in line with best practice. At the same time, we recognise that no single approach works for everyone, so we adapt our process using low-demand and low-arousal methods to help reduce anxiety and make the experience accessible and positive.
As a team, we have been delivering autism and ADHD assessments within the NHS and private sector for many years. We are highly experienced and have specialist assessment skills and knowledge in regard to individuals who experience high levels of anxiety, those who have a demand-avoidance profile, and situational mutism. We also offer re-assessments, where someone has had a previous autism diagnostic assessment.
We are also very passionate about ensuring those who are assigned female at birth receive fair and accurate recognition. Autism and ADHD can present differently in girls and women, and these differences have historically led to under-recognition or misdiagnosis. Many females may develop strong coping or masking strategies, such as mimicking social behaviours, scripting conversations, or working hard to blend in with others. Needs are often hidden behind high academic achievement, perfectionism, or extreme anxiety, which can delay identification and access to support.
Our team has developed specialist expertise in recognising these more subtle, internalised, and camouflaged presentations. We take time to understand each individual’s lived experience, including the impact of masking, sensory needs, and the exhaustion that can follow sustained effort to fit in. By drawing on both clinical evidence and lived experiences, we are committed to delivering assessments that are sensitive, inclusive, and truly reflective of the unique ways autism and ADHD can present in females.
We ensure that all voices are heard throughout the process. During assessments, we welcome parents/carers or other important individuals to be part of the assessment. We recognise that parents/carers are the experts of their own children and it very important to us that they feel heard and listened to.
Our approach celebrates the diversity of neurotypes and prioritises making the assessment process supportive, empowering, positive and easy to engage with, using trauma-informed approaches.
We know that starting the process towards an autism assessment can feel overwhelming, so we aim to make the process as clear and supportive as possible. Our process usually involves the following:
Fee £1750
For stand-alone ADHD assessments, we sign-post individuals to Dr Sara Dowsett: https://psychassessments.co.uk/
Our assessments explore how movement, coordination, and handwriting skills impact daily activities such as play, learning, and self-care. We use standardised assessments such as Movement Assessment Battery for Children 3rd edition (ABC-3), and the Detailed Assessment of Speed of Handwriting (DASH-3) to understand each individual’s motor strengths and areas where extra support may be helpful.
We recognise that differences in coordination and handwriting are a natural part of neurodivergence and development. The focus is on finding practical, accessible strategies that reduce frustration, build confidence, and support independence.
Every assessment is tailored to the individual and their goals, with recommendations that can be used at home, in school, and in the community.
This service comprises of:
Fee
£500 for motor skills assessment.
£300 for handwriting assessment.

Our sensory assessments explore how an individual experiences the world through the senses, and how this may influence daily life. Using evidence-based tools, we look at areas such as sensitivity to sound, touch, movement, or other sensory input.
We know that sensory differences are a natural and important part of neurodivergence. Our goal is not to “fix” these differences but to understand individual sensory profiles and identify support and adjustments that can make environments more comfortable and accessible.
Each assessment is personalised, collaborative, and strengths-focused, helping families, schools, and individuals themselves to create practical strategies that promote wellbeing, confidence, and participation.
